participate in the many programs and projects conducted. Annually, the chapter holds 40 to
60 projects and activities which seeks to meet the needs of the community and chapter
members. Your input through participation, ideas and manpower are an intrical part of the
success of the chapter and the community. Sure we all want to get ahead in life, but where
would America be without volunteers? Jaycees is volunteering. Members also participate in
personal training seminars that would cost hundreds of dollars if you had to pay.
It's often who you know that matters in life and Jaycees are people who are connected.
Serving as a Jaycees provides the opportunity to develop strong relationships to other
Jaycees who are often people of influence. Members share a very real connection with all
other members, past and present: Former President Bill Clinton, Domino's Pizza mogul
Tom Monaghan, Registered nurse and former Miss America Kaye Lani Rae Rafko-Wilson,
Sports legends like basketball great Larry Bird - name the field and Jaycees can be found at
the forefront.
Jaycees have turned their energies toward making a difference especially in the area of
business. With the development of the Junior Chamber Center for Business Advancement,
the Jaycees have taken the next step to furthering the personal and professional lives of
members through the entrepreneurship. Networking, and inverting programs.
The Jaycees have also developed a program geared toward teaching members how to utilize
the many skills they develop through the organization in the success of their career. The
program provides practical and easy-to-implement tips and strategies to creating a
successful career plan and implementing it.
Jaycees have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, ball fields, and housing for the elderly
while conducting services and support programs in thousands of communities across the
nation. They helped establish Air Mail services in America with Jaycee Charles Lindbergh,
and have raised millions of dollars for causes such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association,
March of Dimes, and the Junior Chamber Mission Inn Foundation. Your ideas give you a
chance, your involvement as a member in a local Jaycee chapter gives you the experience,
and as a member of Junior Chamber International, we give you the World.
We achieve this level of training through membership meetings, seminars, competitions,
state and national conventions, charity fund raisers, social activities, family and community
events.
